Terms of Use

This is the agreement between you and Chemiverse: what you may do on the platform, what we commit to, and what happens if either side does not hold up their end.

Students, teachers and schools may use it freely for study and classroom teaching. No fees, no features locked behind a paywall.

A simulation, not a lab

Everything you see is simulated for illustration. Never treat it as a substitute for real laboratory safety procedure.

Classes need verified accounts

Teachers go through profile review before they can create classes, write tests and see student submissions.

Use it in good faith

No cheating on tests, no leaking other teachers' papers, no probing or overloading the system.

1The agreement between us

By accessing or using Chemiverse you agree to the terms below together with the accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the platform.

If you use Chemiverse on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

For minors

Chemiverse is aimed at secondary-school students. If you are below the age at which you can enter agreements on your own, read and accept these terms together with a parent, guardian or your teacher.

2What the service provides

Chemiverse is a visual chemistry learning platform aligned with the Vietnamese general-education curriculum. It includes:

  • An interactive periodic table with a detail page for every element.
  • A molecule library with structural models, real-world uses and preparation methods.
  • A virtual lab: assemble apparatus, mix chemicals and watch simulated phenomena.
  • Chemistry tools: equation balancing, a solubility table and lookup utilities.
  • Online classes and multiple-choice tests for teachers and students.

The platform is intended for learning and reference. Scientific content is prepared carefully and checked against reputable sources, but errors are still possible — cross-check against textbooks and official material when it matters, and tell us about anything that looks wrong.

3Accounts and teacher verification

  • Provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
  • Verify your email address before using features that require signing in.
  • Keep your password private and take responsibility for everything done under your account.
  • One account per person; accounts may not be sold, lent or shared.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect someone else is using your account.

Teacher accounts go through review: you declare your school, administrative area and staff code, and upload a teacher ID card. We may approve, reject or ask for more information. While a profile is pending, you can still use the learning content but cannot yet create classes or tests.

Impersonating a teacher is a serious breach

Declaring a school you do not work at, using someone else's ID card, or falsely claiming a teacher role leads to rejection and a permanent ban, because that role grants access to students' learning data.

4Classes, tests and content you create

Tests, questions, materials and submissions you create or upload remain yours. You grant us the right to store, process and display that content only as far as running your class requires — for nothing else.

  • Teachers are responsible for the material they publish: accuracy, copyright and age-appropriateness.
  • Do not upload third-party copyrighted material without permission.
  • Students are responsible for their own submissions and must not submit work on someone else's behalf.
  • We may remove content that breaks the law or these terms, and will notify the author where we can.
AI-drafted tests must be reviewed

AI test generation sends your prompt to a third-party language-model service and returns a draft. Drafts can contain factual errors or the wrong difficulty; the teacher must review them and remains responsible for what is assigned. Do not put students' personal data into a drafting prompt.

5Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat on tests: have someone else sit them, use multiple accounts, or try to see answers before submitting.
  • Circulate a teacher's test papers or answer keys outside the class without permission.
  • Impersonate anyone, falsely claim a teacher role, or misstate your school or class.
  • Gain unauthorised access to accounts, data or systems; probe for vulnerabilities, attempt exploits or bypass access controls.
  • Scrape data at scale, exceed request limits, or deliberately overload the platform.
  • Upload malware, unlawful or harassing material, or anything unsuitable for a school environment.
  • Use platform content commercially without our written consent.

The system applies rate limits and automatically blocks IP addresses that show scanning behaviour. If a block catches you unfairly — for example a whole school computer room sharing one connection — contact us and we will lift it.

6Intellectual property and data sources

The interface, source code, illustrations, simulation models and content organisation of Chemiverse are our intellectual property.

The underlying scientific data (element properties, molecular structures, reactions) is compiled from public reference sources and checked against the Vietnamese school curriculum.

  • Allowed: using the content to study, prepare lessons and teach; including screenshots in teaching material with attribution to Chemiverse.
  • Not allowed: bulk copying to build a competing service, reselling the content, or stripping attribution.

If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, email a description of the content and the basis of your claim to huongpnit@gmail.com — we will review it and take the content down where the claim is well founded.

7Simulation is not a substitute for the real lab

The virtual lab simulates chemical phenomena for illustration and practice. The model is simplified: reaction rates, quantities, temperatures and observable effects are rendered well enough to convey the underlying chemistry, not as laboratory-grade measurements.

Never reproduce a simulation unsupervised

Many reactions that look harmless on screen are genuinely dangerous: sodium in water, alkali metals, concentrated acids, toxic gases, strongly exothermic reactions. Perform real experiments only in a laboratory, under a teacher's supervision, with proper protective equipment and safety rules.

We accept no responsibility for the consequences of reproducing simulated experiments in the real world.

8Availability and changes to the service

Chemiverse is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise any particular level of uptime.

  • The service may pause for maintenance, upgrades or incident response.
  • Features may be added, changed or removed as the platform evolves.
  • We try to give notice of major changes that affect classes already in progress.
For tests that count

Keep a fallback ready — printed papers or a rescheduled slot — for graded assessments. Network problems can happen at the school's end as well as ours.

9Suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account by email.

We may suspend or terminate an account where we have grounds to believe you have breached these terms or created risk for other users or the system. For minor issues we warn first; for serious breaches — impersonating a teacher, attacking the system, distributing unlawful content — the account may be locked immediately.

If you believe a suspension was a mistake, email us an appeal and we will review it and reply. When an account ends, access to the classes and submissions attached to it ends as well.

10Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform — including lost data, disrupted lessons, or academic results falling short of expectations.

We are likewise not responsible for content created by other users, or for third-party services the platform links to.

These limits do not exclude liability that the law does not permit us to exclude, such as liability for our own intent or gross negligence.

11Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.

In a dispute, both sides will first try to settle it in good faith by email. If no agreement is reached within 30 days, the dispute will be resolved by the competent court under Vietnamese law.

12Changes and general provisions

We may revise these terms as the platform or the law changes. The date at the top of the page is always the latest revision, and we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect your rights. Continuing to use the platform after the effective date means you accept the new version.

If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. Not enforcing a right on one occasion is not a waiver of that right.

These terms together with the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Chemiverse regarding use of the platform.
